HISTORY OF NATIONAL CADET CORPS NIGERIA

National Cadet corps is open to all Schools, Tertiary institutions, colleges, barracks and community Service on a voluntary basis. It is a voluntary youth uniform Organization that recruits cadets from secondary Schools, colleges, university, and Polytechnics.
The History of Cadet Corps was established in Nigeria dated back 1976 during the military Regime of General Olushegun Obasanjo as Military head of States of the Supreme Ruling Council. When armed forces of Nigeria conclaves the ideas of cadet trainings in boys and girls based on team work with the University Officer Traning Corps ( UOTC) was later Renamed National Cadet Corps in the year 1989 and on the 22nd of June 1990 commissioned by Commander SO Aforlayon Commanding officer NNS Olokun now NNC Becrofy.
The National Cadet Corps was merged and given the Named National Cadet Corps on 14th , September , 2013 by the Over all Founder CDT Lt, Col Joshua Fatoye the GOC ( General Officer Commanding ) and having it Headquarters in Ogun State .
Meanwhile , on the 18th of December , 2018 the mantle of leadership and pioneering of the Organization was established in Edo State having its State Command by CDT Lt, Omokhagbo Abefuo Peter the Commanding officer Edo State Commamd and other officers in charged .
